    When You Should Never Agree

    WHEN YOU SHOULD NEVER AGREE

    AGREEMENT

“Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door and shall carry thee out.” – Acts 5:9

If you read through the account of Ananias and Sapphira, you’d see that the act of selling and keeping back part of the money was done by Ananias, not his wife, but the wife was aware and agreed to it.

However, she wasn’t the offender, but she agreed with the offender, hence she suffered like the offender. Her offence was that she agreed to the plan.

Beloved, this is a call for us to check properly before we enter into agreements because oftentimes we\’re as guilty as the offender even without having a part in the act aside from simply agreeing to it.

At our workplace or among friends, sometimes we rope ourselves in because they say to us, don\’t worry, the blame would be on me, I’ll inflate the figures not you, all you need do is agree to what I say or what I present to them. It looks simple but in God’s court of law, you are as guilty as the offender because you agreed to it.

Children of God should take caution and refuse to agree with anyone involved in any ungodly act. We must not agree to do what would bring the wrath of God on us.

Do not agree with unrighteousness, covetousness, corruption, cheating, stealing, lies, false witnessing, backbiting, bitterness, hatred, unforgiveness, and all forms of ungodliness.
