    WEEP NOT!_

“And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and many people. Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.” – Luke.7.11 –13

There was a widow at the gate of the city of Nain and at this point, the only source of her hope – her only son had died and the only thing people that surrounded her could do was weep with her until the intervention of Jesus Christ. Life had thrown a lot on this woman, she was hopeless, dejected, and had given up on all. She had no hope of having another child because she was a widow. I had presumed that deep inside her, she was awaiting her death. Yet, a lot of people were sympathizing with her because that is the only thing the world could offer.

No one was fit to help her situation but to weep with her and probably help bury her only son until Jesus Christ intervened.

Jesus Christ went into the town of Nain and the story of this widow changed. The intervention of Jesus that day brought an end to her insults. and Jesus Christ told her “weep not”.

What are the likely situations in your life that are making you shed tears, feel rejected, depressed, and bittered? The Lord will cause you to laugh again. He is stepping into your situation and He is telling you “weep not”.

What do you need to do?

    1. If you are yet to know Him, you need to submit to His Lordship, forsake your sins and become an heir of the kingdom.

    2. Believe there is nothing difficult for Jesus to do, He has done it in the past and He is still doing it. Check the woman with the issue of blood.

    3. Don’t relent in prayers, keep pressing. He will surely answer your prayers. Keep asking until your joy is full.

Conclusion – When you allow the reign of Jesus Christ in your life, He will make your sorrow become joy – just believe in Him.
