SOZO- The Full Package

“And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” – Acts 2:21.

The disciples of Jesus Christ gathered in the upper room awaiting the promise that Jesus Christ made to them while on earth. Peter, one of the disciples addressed the multitude after the departure of Jesus Christ and after the fulfillment of this promise, making it known that whosoever who believed in Him who was despised, crucified, and call on His name shall be saved.

Sozo – the Greek word for saved is widely used in the scriptures. summarizes the mission of Jesus in Matthew 1:21 where the Angel told Mary that He (Jesus) would save God’s people from their sins.

It is expedient to know what “saved” means in its entirety. In the secular world, they say “what you don’t know won’t kill you”. That is not very correct as it does not apply to every situation of life, more so in the Kingdom. The truth is, what you don’t know can not only limit you but cause you lots of damage and stagnation. This is why the bible encourages us to grow in the grace and the KNOWLEDGE of God. Again, those who KNOW their God shall be strong and do exploits.

Now back to the word, “Sozo”. It means to rescue one from great peril. It also means to protect, keep alive, preserve life, deliver, heal, be made whole, to do well. Acts 2:21 says, “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved”. Most people think that God is only interested in saving them from sin, and doesn’t worry about other aspects of their lives. They would just manage that sickness, the terrible condition in their marriages, their finances,  their ministry, education, and their career. NO BRETHREN!

Salvation is a full package bought by the precious Blood of Jesus and delivered through the Holy Spirit as we believe in the Lord Jesus. But you need to know the truth, if not, the devil will rob you of what God has prepared for you.

What you need to Know is this:

You no longer need to be afraid that you might just drop dead anytime, or that you’re never getting out of that unpleasant situation.

God wants to heal you more than you want to be healed. You must take delivery of this full package. No one is going to do it for you.

You had faith to be saved from sin, you must have faith to be healed, to be delivered, to do well in life.
