    Feed your Fears

    FEED YOUR FEARS

Worry is a state of anxiety and unhappiness caused by problems or thinking about unpleasant things that might happen. It brings fear, pain, and anxiety, and can discourage people from fulfilling their purpose. Worry places people in bondage and makes them see God in an unloving way, making it difficult to trust Him.

The disciples of Jesus displayed this character in Mark 8:14 when they worried about having only one loaf of bread and being hungry, forgetting the miracle that Jesus performed with five loaves to feed 5,000 men, and another seven loaves to feed another 4,000 people, with extra loaves left over.

Oftentimes, people limit God through all their worries, fears, and anxieties. Jesus is a miracle worker and will provide what people need. If He can feed 5,000 people in a day, He can certainly take care of your family. If He can heal sicknesses, deliver the oppressed, and raise the dead, then He can surely handle your worries.

Cast all your cares, anxieties, worries, and concerns on Him, for He cares about you with the deepest affection and watches over you very carefully. (1 Peter 5:7 Amplified version)

Instead of worrying, remember the past miracles God has done for you, feed on His word (Matthew 6:25-34), praise Him for what He will do, and believe in faith that He has already done it.

Don’t be like the disciples who were troubled about what they would eat, but rather count your blessings and be grateful for what God has done for you in the past.
