Saved by Grace
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” – Ephesians 2:8
“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” – Romans 1:17
Apostle Paul preached and proclaimed the grace of Jesus Christ to the entire world, letting us know the efficacy of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary and the effectiveness of His death. The death of Jesus Christ gave salvation and peace to mankind which we must take with every breath in us.
For a long time, men have always been on the lookout in search of peace and joy and are free from the chaos in this world. Even amid plenty, there is still this sense of emptiness, a sense that something is missing, and this causes uneasiness in them. However, many have realized that true peace can only be gotten from God, therefore they need to connect with Him. So, they devise many ways to get it. Some don’t mind paying with all they have earned in their entire lives for this inner peace. Some even go to the extent of putting their body to undergo some excruciating pain to gain this peace and salvation. They work hard to salvage the situation, but oftentimes, all their efforts prove abortive. Even when they seemingly get it fixed, it doesn’t last.
The truth is when the source of a problem is known, the way out is mostly linked to the pattern of its occurrence. Sin causes the disconnection from God. To be reconnected to God and have access to this eternal peace, sin must be taken away from man, because God is Holy and cannot behold sin. Man must become holy, blameless, and sinless (Ephesians 1:4).
To be free from sin and be saved, man has done so many things. But can man save himself from sin? The answer is NO because it’s not his sin that makes him a sinner rather he sins because he is a sinner. He was born a sinner, he has the nature of sin in him. This nature was inherited through Adam, the first man. Nobody teaches a child how to lie, the lie comes naturally. In other words, he didn’t become a sinner because of what he did or does, but rather because of what someone else – Adam did. For him to be saved, someone like Adam can help him out.
Romans 5:19 KJV says “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one (Jesus) shall many be made righteous”. Jesus’ death on the cross paid man’s debts and allows him to cross to the side of God again and be saved. All man has to do to access this salvation is to believe and have faith. Romans 5:8 – But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Man has been saved by grace through faith. Salvation is the gift of God and not our works. Salvation through Jesus Christ reconnects us to God and gives us access to the peace of God.
Jesus is the only one that can unite you with God, and give you access to eternal life and abundant peace. Accept him today, if you are yet to have him in your life, to experience this awesome glory. Amen.
