Never Shift Grounds

Have you ever been in a situation where you strongly believed in something, but after facing many attacks or oppositions, you decided to change your stance? You may have thought, “What’s the point in holding onto something that is almost choking me? I can as well just let go of it and have my peace.” But this decision may not always be the right one.

Shifting grounds is a human tendency when faced with difficult situations. Satan also uses this tactic against a child of God. He attacks various aspects of your life, such as your health, finances, family, and job, with the aim of making you shift grounds and lose your faith in God. This is also known as the attrition tactic, which is a military strategy where one side consistently tries to wear down the other party to the point of collapse or to reduce their morale and strength.

When you understand the enemy’s tactics, it becomes easier to remain resilient and fight the good fight with the resources God has provided. As soldiers of Christ, we are fighting from a position of victory.

Therefore, no matter what you are going through, do not let the devil reduce you to exhaustion. God has got your back!
