Loving God unconditionally
The reason God created man is for intimacy. Man is the epicenter of God’s creation, as He (God) was deliberate and intentional about man from before the beginning. How wonderful it is that the greatest of the greatest, the creator of the heavens, yearns and hungers to meet with us.
In Genesis 3, we see that Adam sinned against God by eating the fruit which he was not meant to eat, yet we see God in verse 8 still coming to meet him (as usual) to have their regular chit-chat, but Adam was nowhere to be found. God’s love is unconditional, and He keeps chasing after us. Do we also chase after God the same way He does us?
Matt. 22.37 – Jesus said to him, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
An in-depth check will have most people see that they don’t accurately reciprocate God’s love. They either love Him conditionally or are just using Him to get their desires.
Rev. 3.20 – Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
The Lord is knocking at the door of hearts. If any man opens his heart, make sure to give Him full access to all chambers of your heart because He yearns for that. He wants to feel your love back to Him “wholeheartedly.”
Prayer:
Lord, today, I understand and acknowledge your love for me, and I discern areas where I have failed to reciprocate this amazing love. By your mercy, help me to love you unconditionally, just as you do me.
Thank you, in Jesus’ name.
AMEN
