    Faith That Works

    Faith that works

In Luke 17:11-19, Jesus passed through Samaria and Galilee on his way to Jerusalem. As he entered a village, he met ten lepers who stood far away from him and cried out for mercy. Jesus told them to go show themselves to the priests, and as they obeyed, they were cleansed. One of the lepers, a Samaritan, returned to thank Jesus and glorify God. Jesus questioned why only one out of the ten returned to give glory to God and declared that the man’s faith had made him whole.

In human relationships, trust is based on tangible evidence. However, in the spiritual realm, faith works differently. The lepers had faith in Jesus’ ability to heal them, and their unquestioning obedience to his words demonstrated their faith. Many people fail to receive their miracles because they wait to see signs before believing and acting. If we truly believe in God’s power, we must act upon His instructions even if we don’t immediately see or sense evidence.

God’s promises never fail, and His words always manifest when we step out in faith to act on them. Therefore, we should have constant and consistent faith in God and act upon His words to demonstrate our faith. Let us pray for wholeness in all areas of our lives, an attitude of gratitude and thanksgiving, and for the word of God to produce faith for the all-round well-being of God’s children everywhere.
