Are Your Prayers Answered?
Have you been in a situation where you feel your prayers are not producing the expected results? If yes, then we need to look into God’s word to get an understanding.
The Bible says in Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you”, but many people struggle with this verse because their experience is not aligned with it. However, let God be true and all men liar (Romans 3:4) because His word never fails.
Do you know that when you pray in faith, God releases the answer? Yes, He does, however, the answer can only become a reality when we believe and act according to what we have asked. Therefore, Hebrews 11:1 explains that faith is what gives expression to what God has done. Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now unto him, that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”. There is no limitation to what God can do in and through a believer, but we have a part to play. Some Christians pray sometimes without any expectation of receiving answers or their actions are contrary to what they have asked. It is my prayer that as you pray and expect answers, your actions will align with your prayers.
Remember, Mark 11:24 says, “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” The time it takes to receive an answer depends on various factors, but God is committed to releasing answers when we pray. It is expedient that as we pray, we must believe that we have received from God and never doubt God’s faithfulness to fulfill His word.
While Daniel was praying in Daniel 9, his answers came immediately. However, it took three weeks to receive his answers when he prayed in chapter 10. From careful observation, God answered both prayers as he prayed. The difference was that demonic power was hindering his prayer in Chapter 10. The hindrance could be unbelief, Satan, our will, ignorance, disobedience and many more, but it is not God.
Finally, when you pray according to God’s word, and you stand in faith knowing that God has heard you, hold firm your faith in God’s word. The answers you are waiting for will surely come, do not give up.
