TRUST NOT IN MAN

Psalm 146:3-6 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God: Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth forever.
A man is only valuable until the breath in his nostrils ceases. The Bible says there is no help in man. When a man helps, his help is limited because he is limited himself. Once a man dies, the plan in his heart also perishes. So, it is like shooting yourself in the leg when you trust in man. Remember man also includes you. You can of yourself do nothing. John 15:5
Jeremiah 17:7-8 describes the blessedness of a man who trusts in the Lord instead. ‘Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit’.
Trusting in the Lord brings abundant fruitfulness and preservation from the negative influences of nature and circumstances. God is the one who created everything you will ever want or need, and he is truthful. He can be trusted because he keeps the truth forever, and he is the truth himself. He is the one who promises and does not fail, and he is not a man who will lie or change his mind.
It is to your hurt to trust in man for your life and desires. Shift your focus from man to God and watch him turn your situations around and surprise you beyond imagination.
