NEVER STOP BELIEVING
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Heb.11.6
As believers, it’s crucial to understand that our faith in God should extend beyond just receiving salvation. We are called to press forward and claim our rights as children of God. Reflecting on the journey of the Israelites, we see that they initially believed in God’s power as He led them out of Egypt through Moses. However, when faced with challenges, they began to doubt and express discontent. Despite experiencing miraculous deliverance at the Red Sea, receiving water from a rock, and being sustained with manna, they struggled to maintain unwavering faith in God’s providence.
Abraham, known as a friend of God, encountered significant trials, particularly in his longing for a child. Yet, he never wavered in his belief in God’s promise. His faith was unwavering, and he continued to faithfully serve and worship God. Even when he and his wife Sarah were promised a son in their old age, they embraced this promise with action, ultimately welcoming their long-awaited child, Isaac.
It’s important to understand that faith must be put into action. When God speaks, our belief in His word should be accompanied by corresponding actions, even if the fulfillment of His promise seems to be delayed. This principle is beautifully articulated in Habakkuk 2:3.
The story of the woman with the issue of blood offers a powerful demonstration of unwavering faith. Despite seeking help from numerous physicians to no avail, her encounter with the Great Physician, Jesus Christ, transformed her life. Her steadfast belief that touching the hem of His garment would bring about her healing resulted in an instantaneous miracle. Her persistence in faith, despite previous disappointments, led to a miraculous intervention.
Ultimately, it’s important to remain steadfast in faith, regardless of the circumstances. Trusting in God’s promises and resisting the temptation to seek solutions in worldly sources will ultimately lead to enduring and transformative outcomes.
