God’s Word is Light
“In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was at the beginning with God. All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” – John 1:1-4
The above scriptures emphasize the Word, which was with God in the beginning, and became the light of men.
God’s word gives light to every area of one’s life. Regardless of how confused one could be, the word of God is potent to give light and direction. There is practically nothing happening in our contemporary world, that has not at one time or the other been faced by a Bible character. How that individual was able to overcome the situation at that time, and the outcome is a precept for us to guide how we live our day-to-day life.
The word of God spreads light to our path. King David said: Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path (Ps 119:105). The quality of life you live as a believer is determined by the light you walk in. You are as full of life as you are full of light. John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
The Light of God that shines on your way gives direction. Even though prayer gives you strength and power, the Word of God which is the Light of God gives direction.
The light you carry as a child of God determines your spiritual weight and its effectiveness is reflected in your lifestyle. Light brings you transformation and divine equipping. You cannot copy another man’s light. The written word (The Word of God) remains a promise until it is revealed to you. The word you are struggling with is the one you have not caught the light on. Your manifestation is connected to the light you carry as a child of God.
The Devil is afraid of the light you carry because he cannot comprehend it. Hence, as children of God, you must keep your light, to illuminate the world around you.
