    DON’T QUIT

Hello there! A penny for your thought. How would you say this year has been for you?

Has it been great, awesome, boring, challenging, disappointing, or heartbreaking? Did you have the feeling that time is over for you?

Quitting in the midst of challenges is a product of hopelessness and disappointment. However, quitters never win and winners never quit. Before you conclude, permit me to tell you that you need, above all, patience, which brings peace (Proverbs 15:18).  For the end of this year and that project will be better than the beginning thereof (Ecclesiastes 7:8).

We are assured in the scriptures that we must be courageous and patient keeping our hopes high in the Lord (James 5:8). The reality is that when our expectations are not promptly met, we become anxious and dejected. Yet, Paul said Being anxious about nothing but letting your request be known unto God by prayers and supplications alongside thanksgiving (Phillippians 4:6). But do you think Paul never faced disappointments? I bet, he faced a lot but he was a winner-man. He refused to quit until he finished the race. He boldly told Timothy that he had fought and won and had finished the race (2Timothy 4:6). When we are resilient and prayerful, not giving up, we will confidently declare our victory. So, never you quit!

What about a situation where our strength is failing us? Yea, it does happen that we lose our energy to continue the race. We sometimes feel not to try again. We do reach our elastic limit. Nevertheless, our elastic limit is only an expression of our need for divine intervention. Paul quoted the scriptures when he was encouraging the Galatian church and that same is relevant to us. As it is written, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still;” do not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). So, let God fight for you!

Are you wondering why others seem to be making it and it seems you are heading nowhere? Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways. For you do not realize now what the Lord is doing, but soon,  you will see His goodness and your testimonies will be great. Let us not forget that the Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” You will see the salvation of the Lord!
