Darkness Must Flee
“For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me. I have come as a light to shine in this dark world so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark.” – John 12:45-46
In the midst of the terrible ordeals of life, we often don’t know to whom we can turn. It is clear and visible that the power of darkness is waging war.
Christians need not worry, however, for the boasting of such evildoers against the righteous incites the Lord to action: “Now I will rise up…” (psalm 12:5)
At times the spiritual warfare in life can reach a fever pitch. Satan knows when you are approaching a breakthrough threshold in the advancement of the kingdom of Christ.
Being spiritual does not make you immune from attack, but the Lord will prepare you for any battle ( psalm 18:34). When the enemy comes against you, you can “crush an army” and “scale any wall”.
There is nothing Satan does that will not turn around on him. God will not be defeated or outwitted.
Remember what Paul said, “use every piece of God’s armour to resist the enemy in the time of evil so that after the battle you will still be standing firm” (Ephesians 6:13). The undiluted word of God, meditate on the word, study the word, act on the word.
We are not of the night or of darkness. We are day workers, children of light.” ( 1 Thess. 5:5).
He has called us out of the darkness into His marvellous light”. ( 1 Peter 2 vs 9)
Hold to these great truths for encouragement: Your Advocate is praying for you. Don’t be afraid of the dark. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” ( 2 Timothy 1:7)NLT. We are more than conquerors.
In your darkest hour, shine your brightest light, and remember: The Prince of peace is on His way!
