Are You Secured?
What would the world look like if everything were to go normally – free of war, protests, terrorism and other social vices? It would have been a perfect place to dwell-secured from all alarm. But we experience the opposite in today’s world – a situation where the hearts of men fail due to the fear of the unknown.
No one in this present world could assure his neighbour of a safe abode or rest of mind and soul. Men have trusted themselves, systems, governments and the so-called higher powers, but none could give true security. Every man desires to be secured and ensures it by seeking power, love and freedom. A man will naturally shrink back in the face of fear and unrest and feels insecure when his hope for security is threatened.
There is only one sure place of divine security – a haven of peace and rest, secured from all alarm. It is a strong tower; whoever runs to it is safe. It is in the bosom of the Lord. The word of God says, “for in Him we live and move and have our being. Acts 17:28.
For everyone who comes through the door, that is, through the salvation offered by our Lord Jesus Christ, they have an assurance of acceptance into the family of God where there is everlasting peace. “To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved Ephesians 1: 6. They have died and have been given a new life – a life hidden in God not perturbed by the troubles in the world. “For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God” Colossians 3:3. To such is an assurance of true security. True security cannot be in any man, system or government.
Therefore dearly beloved, my question today is, ARE YOU SECURED? Considering all the upheavals happening everywhere in the world today, won’t you rather run and seek refuge in the one who is capable of securing your soul? Come to the Lord Jesus. He will by no means cast you away. Ask for His mercy and forgiveness and ask Him to come and have His abode with you, then you will be accepted in the beloved, and your life will be secured in Him.
The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe Proverbs 18:10.
