An Excellent Spirit

Text: Daniel 5:12 

Striving to give your best in everything you do is a mark of having an excellent spirit. As humans, we are bound to make mistakes, but it is our ability to learn from them and strive for excellence that sets us apart. Putting in all your efforts to improve yourself in whatever you do is the key to achieving excellence.

Having an excellent spirit can help you overcome the toughest challenges in life with self-determination, regardless of the circumstances or obstacles you face. If you have an excellent spirit, you will stand out among others, just as Daniel did. During the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel was preferred over other princes in Babylon. He was called upon to interpret the writings on the wall, and he gave a concise interpretation that nobody else could provide before him. This was all because of the excellent spirit in him.

No matter what situation you find yourself in, strive to do your best and pray for the excellent spirit from above. According to Daniel 6:3, Daniel’s faith in God gave him the strength to stand firm in any situation. To reveal the excellent spirit of God in you, you need discipline, faith in God, humility, obedience, patience, passion, and integrity.

As children of God, we should ask the Holy Spirit daily for the spirit of excellence, and the results will be seen in the attributes mentioned above.

Prayer – Lord, let your spirit of excellence be evident in my life.
