He Won’t Delay
“The smallest family will become a thousand people, and the tiniest group will become a mighty nation. At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” Isaiah 60:22 NLV
How did you feel when you prayed for something and did not get the answer you expected? Did you feel disappointed? Probably, true for most of us! We do feel disappointed because our thoughts are completely different from His thoughts. What makes lots of difference between God and us is the TIME factor.
The promises of God will surely come to pass as much as you are aligned with Him. Matthew 24:35 states that “heaven and earth shall pass away, but His words shall not pass away.”
Our God is the Almighty; His power has no bounds, he is the Lord, and He has not changed.
In Revelation 22:13, he said that He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
You are precious to Him, and he does not take you for granted. “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things” (Romans 8:32)?
Matthew 6:26 & 30 – “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Wherefore, if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?”
If God could take care of the fowls of the air and clothe the grass of the field, wouldn’t He do more for you and fulfill that which He has promised you? Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” God is not a man that would say what he cannot do. However, there is nothing too difficult for Him to do; all things are possible with Him. Nothing can stand against His will for you, not even you.
The problem we often have is that we have our plans which usually do not literally align with God’s plan. Isaiah 55:8-9 KJV – “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Plan comes with directions, methods and timing. God has designed the Direction He wants us to follow, the perfect Method to use, and the appropriate Time to actualize His plan. God’s thoughts (plans) toward you are of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11).
We get into tension because we have conceptualized our own Direction, Method, and Timing for His promises for us. We designed our plan inside God’s plan.
God is faithful to His promises. He promised to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and Ephesians 3:20 says God can do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. God will not fail his part; we are to do our part. 2 Corinthians 7:1 – “Having, therefore, these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
Let us draw a conclusion from Hebrews 10:37-38 – “For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draws back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.”
At the right time, what God has promised, will be fulfilled without delay.
God can’t disappoint you!
