HE IS NEVER TOO LATE!
I tell you today, “It’s never late with God!” Nothing is impossible with God.
He’s the God that, “quickeneth the dead, and calleth things which be not as though they were” (Romans 4:17).
Sometimes, when things don’t go the way we planned, it seems like God is too late. We may think that God hasn’t answered our prayers for a long time and conclude that He is too late. But God is not a latecomer.
In the Bible, when Jesus heard that Lazarus, His friend, was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was. By the time he arrived at Lazarus’ house, Lazarus had been buried for four days. Naturally speaking, Jesus arrived too late. Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died” (John 11:21 New King James Version).
However, the end of the story showed that Jesus didn’t arrive late. It wasn’t too late for Lazarus to come out of the grave, a greater miracle than his initial healing. Jesus cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go” (John 11:43-44 New King James Version). The resurrection and the life brought Lazarus back to life (verse 25). In the power that is in the name of Jesus, you will come out of any ‘grave’ you may have been buried in, in Jesus’ name.
It is not too late for you to pursue God’s purpose for your life. It is not too late to become all God wants you to be. It is not too late to go back to school, start that project, write that book, finish that work, receive your healing, stop that bad habit, and so on. So don’t be discouraged if the blessings you’re praying for haven’t come yet. Trust the Lord and His timing. Someday, all of God’s promises will be fulfilled.
I do not know what you have been going through all these years. Maybe it is childlessness or poverty. Maybe the promise God gave you has not yet come and it seemed to you that God has delayed. No, whatever He promises, He will do. God is never late. Keep trusting Him and keep holding on.
