1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV
\’In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you\’.
Many times, we are consumed with emotions of what we need or want, neglecting the blessings we have received. Even when we get what we are trusting God for at present, we still crave for more because human needs are insatiable. We need to look deep inward; reflect on the blessings we have received and be thankful for them instead of focusing on our worries. Worries bitters and batters your spirit but thanksgiving lifts up your spirit and soul.
Take a break, sit down, and reflect on your challenges. Is yours the worst? Are you better or more righteous than those that have worse challenges than yours? I guess \’NO\’ is your answer.
If you can think deep, you will realize your blessings are more than your burdens. In your tribulations, there are enormous blessings embedded in it, only a change of your perspective will allow you access to them. You will then realize that you are to be thankful all the while. Philippians 4:4 says, “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again, I say, Rejoice.”
You need to rejoice in the Lord and be grateful always because that which he promised you He will do it for you without hesitation or delay. Our Lord is a promise keeper and you can solely rely on Him.
Philippians 4:6 – “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Make Thanksgiving your habit today and all things will fall in the right place for you.
